(*) - Celestia and Luna walking about Canterlot in altered forms so as not to draw attention to themselves (but forget to remove their accessories). Celestia = Twilight Sparkle and Luna = Fluttershy

Celestia (narrator)
"Every day is much like the next. One day after another, rolling ever onwards without pause."

SFX Twilight Sparkle (alarm sphere set next to Celestia's bed, repeats until turned off)
"Rise and shine, Princess Celestia! Its time to raise the sun!"

Celestia (weak chuckle)

Luna
"How surely downtrodden your pupil would be if she ever finds out that the sun is the one that raises Celestia daily."

Celestia (waking up)
"So says the pony that does not raise the moon." (yawns)

"Shouldnt you be sleeping?"

Luna (smug)
"I am."

SFX Vhhhiiirrrrlll (magic spell wavering)

Celestia
"Dream walking, huh? Am I really that interesting to hang around with?"

Luna (cheery)
"Im making waffles."

Celestia
"Fancy that."

SFX Ting (alarm turned off)
SFX Walking

Rising Dawn (cheerful)
"Good morning Princess Celestia, Princess Luna... shouldnt you be..."

Celestia
"That is exactly what I said to her."

Luna
"And I am sleeping, remember?"

SFX Magic (levitation)

Eclipse
"Shouldnt you be resting Milady Luna?"

Luna
"I am sleeping, Captain Eclipse." (SFX Magic Levitation) "Waffles."

Eclipse
"Thank you." (SFX sit) "Night watch went mostly without incident."

Celestia
"Mostly?"

Luna
"Your nephew Blueblood. Nothing to worry your mane over. Just your nephew's usual antics."

Celestia
"He's your nephew too, you know."

Luna
"One of the perks of being the being formerly known as Nightmare Moon, I wasnt around when you were adopting snobbish unicorn relatives."

Celestia
"They are not snobbish. Blueblood is... an exception."

Luna
"So... is this Grand Galloping Gala you made while I was gone a thinly veiled family reunion for all your adopted snobby unicorn brothers and sisters? Mother always thought you were too obsessed with snobby rich ponies."

Celestia (irritated)
"She did not!" (pause quieter voice) "And... well kinda."

Luna
"And you wonder why I avoided going."

Celestia (smug)
"You just hate fancy dress up parties. Mother always said you were a colt at heart."

SFX Magic levitation

Luna (indignant)
"Eat your "breakfast", sister."

Rising Dawn (curious tone)
"Uh... isnt that... dessert?"

Eclipse (confused)
"Chocolate waffles buried in whipped cream and cocoa syrup?"

Luna (smug)
"Well dear Captains of the Guard, your beloved ruler has a bit of a sweet hoof..."

Celestia (irritated)
"So says the chubby pony who keeps eating my desserts!"

Luna
"Relax, sugar addicted sister..."

Celestia ("Hmph!")

Luna
"I already said I will replace your dessert did I not? Fear not, big sister, I will... why are you all staring at me?"

Celestia (disbelief)
"You can eat while using that spell?"

Luna
"Not really. Im just eating for the taste... good thing the spell disintegrates whatever I eat..."

Celestia
"I am not cleaning up after you."

SFX Ponies walking about, clock ticking.

Celestia
"Any royal business needing attending to?"

Royal Guard member
"No your highness."

Celestia (upbeat)
"Well then... permission to wander off and attend to Royal Matters elsewhere?"

Royal Guard (confused)
"Your Highness?"

Celestia
"I am most certain anypony can locate us in case of emergency so..." (cheery) "...I hereby give the Throne Room Guards an unexpected day off. May I have permission to loiter freely?"

Royal Guard (shocked)
"O-o-of c-c-course! Th-thank you, your highness!"

Celestia (cheery)
"See you tomorrow, Wintergreen. Say hi to the wife for me."

SFX Silence in background (scene transition)

Luna (narrator voice)
"How truly disappointed your most faithful student would be to see her beloved mentor occasionally dabble in fits of truancy."

SFX Canterlot streets (ponies walking and talking in background)

Celestia
"Would it surprise you to learn that I occasionally, on days like this, spirited my pupil away from her books for a little break from routine?"

Luna
"Honestly? Yes. Twilight Sparkle to me seems to be a slave to the comforts of routine and schedule... much like yourself."

Celestia (defensive)
"I am not so rigid."

Luna
"Sister, with the exception of the occasional outburst your very exsistence rotates perfectly around your daily routine. Without fail, and without deviation."

Few second silence

Celestia (low)
"Day in, day out."

Luna
"Sister?"

SFX Sit

Celestia
"That's your big sister in a friendship letter, right? Day in, and day out, a mass of routine and schedule and protocol... kinda sad, really."

SFX Sit

Luna
"It is expected of you, dear sister, as the ruler of Equestria."

Celestia
"We both rule Equestria, yet you always make time for yourself..." (chuckles) "I kinda envy you... you dont act your age sometimes."

Luna
"Yes I do. I slept for a thousand years, remember? Im still young despite the passage of time... but were supposed to be talking about you..."

SFX Stand

Luna
"Thou shall cometh with me"

Celestia
"Wh--?"

SFX Stand Walking

Celestia
"What's with the old dialect?"

Luna
"Nothing. I just do it sometimes to mess with ponies heads... here we are."

Door chimes (Donut Joes)

Joe
"Hello, ladies! Your orders will be ready shortly."

Luna
"Thank you. A dozen pony hooves please."

Joe
"Got a batch fresh from the oven, your highnesses!"

Luna
"Thank you."

SFX Walk a few steps, sit

Luna
"Didnt you once tell Twilight not to stress about deadlines?"

Celestia
"More or less, but what... oooohhh... I see..."

Luna
"She says she sees, but..."

Celestia
"Sometimes I need to stop, catch my breath, and make time for something other than work. I think Ill start tomorrow by having an informal pleasant lunch with my guards in the garden."

Luna
"Every little bit helps... by the way..." (*) "...was this really your best idea for a disguise?"

Celestia
"Whats wrong with this?"

Luna
"...never mind..."

Fiction Update November 25th 2012

Well... finally ponyinabox put out word in their second News From The Box that three stories were picked for production... I think I lost but still waiting for that finality... oh well. Better luck next time.

Presently getting ready to post up a few Celestia/Luna minis (Day In Day Out and Luna Before You Celestia)... should be out soon  (first draft). In the meantime I am thinking of submitting again to ponyinabox... soon... well maybe the start of 2013... did I mention that yet? Probably.

Well, back to writing.
